Chessman
At the beginning of each chess game, there must be 32 chess pieces divided equally on each side, including 16 Red and 16 Black pieces. Chess pieces will be divided into 7 types of pieces including generals, soldiers, bishops, rooks, cannons, knights, and pawns. Initially, the chess pieces on the board (except the General) will be placed face down and randomly arranged on the board. The symbols for the pieces in the face down chess are as follows:

How to march
In Up Chess, the first move of each piece will follow the exact move of the position that piece is standing on. After the first move, the piece will be turned over and from then on must follow the rules of the piece on which it was revealed.

For example: The face-down chess piece is standing in the position of the pawn, its first move will follow the pawn's move. After the first move, the face-down piece is revealed to be a Rook. Then in the following turns, the chess piece will now follow the path of the Rook.

Capture troops
When a piece reaches another intersection where an opposing piece is already standing, the player will have the right to capture that piece and occupy the position of the captured piece. Captured pieces will be calculated according to the corresponding piece pay.

However, the rules of the game also stipulate that players will not be allowed to threaten to capture an opponent's piece for more than 6 consecutive turns with one or more pieces.

Checkmate
The player moves a piece so that that piece or another piece can capture the opponent's General in the next move, which is called Checkmate. The side being checked must find a way to defend and avoid checking. Otherwise, you will lose the whole game.

Champions can be projected from all four directions (also projected from behind). This is a fundamental difference compared to the rules of traditional Chinese chess. When you are in check, you can respond to check in one of the following ways:

Move the General to another position to avoid check.
Capture the piece in check.
Use other pieces to block the checkmate, move pieces to cover the General.
When checking a General and not having any moves left to prevent the General from being captured on the next move is called Checking.

When it's your turn and there are no valid moves left to make, it's called being forced. Even if you haven't been checked, you're still considered a LOSS.

Note: Players will not be allowed to check by using the same piece to repeat the check position 3 times in a row.

Law comes first
Starting a game, the system will randomly arrange whether the player holds the red or blue pieces. Accordingly, the person holding the Red army has the right to go first. However, in the next games, the LOSER will have priority to go first. In case the previous game is a Draw, the system will transfer the first turn to another Player.

Results of the match
Win: When a player checks, forces a checkmate, or the opponent asks to lose, the time is up and it will be counted as a WIN.

Loss: When a player is checkmated, forced to play or asks to lose, the time expires and it will be considered a LOSS.

Draw: After 60 moves (each player has made 30 moves) without a winning/captured piece, the game is a DRAW. In addition, if the player uses the "Pray for a draw" feature and the opponent agrees, the game will be considered a DRAW.

Note:

After 30s/60s (specified time for a move), if the Player has not yet deployed a valid move, he or she will be penalized, and the Player's personal time will pass faster.

5-minute goal: from the 31st second of the move, the penalty will be x2 time.
10-minute goal: from the 61st second of the move, the penalty time will be x3.
